France's New Prime Minister: Gabriel Attal, the Youngest Ever

Emmanuel Macron, the president of France, has appointed a new prime minister to lead his government. His choice is Gabriel Attal, who is only 34 years old. He is the youngest person to ever hold this position in modern French history. He beats the record of Laurent Fabius, who was 37 when he became prime minister in 1984.

New Prime Minister

Gabriel Attal is currently the education minister. He will replace Élisabeth Borne, who resigned after serving for 20 months. She faced difficulties in governing without a majority in parliament.

Gabriel Attal is a close ally of Emmanuel Macron. He will have the responsibility of leading the French government into the European Parliament elections in June. These elections are seen as a test of Macron's popularity and his chances of winning a second term in 2025.

Gabriel Attal is a rising star in French politics. He was born in 1989 in Clamart, a suburb of Paris. He studied law and political science at Sciences Po, a prestigious university. He joined the Socialist Party in 2006 and worked as a parliamentary assistant for several lawmakers.

In 2017, he left the Socialist Party and joined Emmanuel Macron's new movement, En Marche. He was elected as a member of parliament for the Hauts-de-Seine department. He became the spokesperson of the parliamentary group of La République en Marche, the party of Macron.

In 2018, he was appointed as the secretary of state for youth and civic engagement. He was in charge of implementing the universal national service, a flagship project of Macron. He also worked on issues such as youth unemployment, civic education, and volunteering.

In 2020, he was promoted to the education minister. He had to deal with the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, which disrupted the school system and affected millions of students and teachers. He also had to face the threat of Islamist terrorism, which targeted several schools and teachers.

Gabriel Attal is known for his communication skills and his ability to connect with young people. He is active on social media and often posts videos and photos of his activities. He is also open about his personal life. He is gay and has a partner, Stéphane Séjourné, who is a member of the European Parliament and a close adviser of Macron.

Gabriel Attal is seen as a loyal and ambitious politician, who shares Macron's vision of reforming France and Europe. He is also a pragmatic and moderate leader, who can work with different political forces. He will have to prove his skills and experience as the new prime minister of France, the youngest ever in its history.
